Redakcja czasopisma „Eastern Review” zaprasza do przesyłania tekstów do najnowszego numeru czasopisma 13 (1)/2023

Teksty można zgłaszać do 1 września 2023 r. za pomocą systemu Open Journal System pod adresem:

Tematem przewodnim numeru jest perspektywa rozwoju systemu stosunków międzynarodowych (postęp czy regres?) z uwzględnieniem rywalizacji pomiędzy mocarstwami globalnymi (Stanami Zjednoczonymi i Chinami) i bezprecedensowych wydarzeń mających miejsce w Europie Wschodniej – rosyjskiej agresji zbrojnej na Ukrainę.

Zachęcamy do składania tekstów teoretycznych i empirycznych, dotyczących spodziewanych stanów polityki międzynarodowej z naciskiem położonym na analizę i prognozę tendencji, politycznych, militarnych, społeczno-gospodarczych i kulturowych dokonujących się w Europie Środkowo-Wschodniej i regionu poradzieckiego, kształtowanych przez zjawisko nowej zimnej wojny.

The editors of the journal “Eastern Review” invite you to submit texts for the special issue of the journal – 14 (2)/2023: Russia: Rebirth of the Empire?

The new stage of Russian aggression against Ukraine on February 24, 2022 ignited significant number of discussions in political, journalistic and scientific circles regarding its causes, course and possible consequences. Within this framework, one of the particularly exploited themes is Russia’s international status, its current identity and the historical character of the formation of Russian statehood.

For many participants of the global debate over Russia’s war against Ukraine, Russia’s imperial past is the main cause of the Kremlin’s revisionist (revanchist) policy, to which countries that are part of the Soviet “inner empire” are actual or potential victims. The burden of the imperial past, which is carried by the Russian elite and society, does not allow Russia to become a “normal great power”.

We encourage you to submit theoretical and empirical texts on the  phenomenon of Russian imperialism, both in historical, political and socio-cultural terms – the common feature of which will be an attempt to answer the unresolved question: what form of imperialism we are dealing with at the moment in Russia – neo-imperialism or retro-imperialism? What are the main implications of Russia’s aggressive policy for neighboring countries and international community by and large?
