  • „Turyzm” jest najstarszym polskim czasopismem naukowym o tematyce turystycznej. Wydawany jest przez Instytut Geografii Miast i Turyzmu Uniwersytetu Łódzkiego nieprzerwanie od 1985 r. W latach 1985-1990 publikowany był raz w roku w ramach serii wydawniczej „Acta Universitatis Lodziensis” (7 zeszytów). Od 1991 r. „Turyzm” jest czasopismem ukazującym się dwa razy w roku  (w latach 1991-2000 wydano 20 zeszytów w 10 tomach). W latach 1991-2000 artykuły zawierały streszczenia w języku francuskim i angielskim. Od 2001 r. czasopismo o nazwie „Turyzm/Tourism” jest dwujęzyczne (język polski i angielski).
  • Zakres i cel tematyczny
  • „Turyzm/Tourism” to czasopismo naukowe o charakterze interdyscyplinarnym. Jest jednym z niewielu tytułów w Polsce skierowanych do naukowców reprezentujących różne dyscypliny i zajmujących się problematyką turystyczną, w tym przede wszystkim do geografów, ekonomistów, socjologów oraz przedstawicieli innych nauk społecznych, nauk o zarządzaniu, a także nauk o kulturze fizycznej. Czasopismo prezentuje w głównej mierze wyniki najnowszych empirycznych badań nad współczesnymi zjawiskami dotyczącymi szeroko pojmowanej turystyki, hotelarstwa i rekreacji w Europie Środkowej, z uwzględnieniem ich lokalnej specyfiki i globalnego kontekstu. W czasopiśmie wydawane są wyłącznie prace nigdzie wcześniej niepublikowane: artykuły teoretyczne, empiryczne metodologiczne i przeglądowe oraz notatki naukowe zawierające wyniki cząstkowe oryginalnych badań empirycznych, a także recenzje, sprawozdania i głosy w dyskusji.

  • About the Journal
  • “Turyzm” is the oldest Polish scientific journal devoted to tourism. It has been published  by the Institute of Urban and Tourism Geography, University of Lodz since 1985. From 1985 to 1990, it was published once a year, as a part of the “Acta Universitatis Lodziensis” series (7 issues). Since 1991, “Turyzm” has been appearing twice a year (in 1991-2000 – 20 issues in 10 volumes). From 1991-2000, the articles included summaries in French and English. In 2001, the title of the journal was changed to “Turyzm/Tourism” and started to appear in two languages (Polish and English).

  • Aims and Scope
  • “Turyzm/Tourism” is an interdisciplinary scientific journal. It is one of the few publications in Poland intended for researchers representing a variety of disciplines and dealing with tourism issues, first of all for geographers, economists, sociologists and representatives of social sciences, management sciences as well as physical culture sciences. The journal mostly presents the findings of the latest empirical studies on contemporary phenomena regarding a wide range of tourism, hospitality industry and recreation issues in Central Europe, including their local specificity and local context. The journal presents only texts which have not been published anywhere before: theoretical, empirical and methodological research, review papers and scientific notes, containing partial findings of original empirical research, as well as reviews, reports and contributions to debates.

Instrukcja redakcyjna

Czasopismo „Turyzm/Tourism” zasadniczo publikuje artykuły o objętości nie większej niż 4000 słów, notatki badawcze do 2500 słów oraz raporty i recenzje książek nieprzekraczające 1000 słów. W uzasadnionych przypadkach (na prośbę Autora) redakcja może jednak zaakceptować obszerniejsze prace.

Artykuły należy składać w języku polskim i angielskim (tożsame wersje). Tekst pracy powinien zawierać podpisane i umieszczone w odpowiednich miejscach rysunki, tabele i ew. fotografie. Materiał ilustracyjny powinien być dodatkowo zapisany także w oddzielnych, oryginalnych dokumentach (ale nie w PDF). Artykuł musi posiadać streszczenie/abstrakt, wskazujące zwięźle cel, metody i wyniki badań (do 200 słów), a także słowa kluczowe (w wersji polskiej dopuszczalne są powszechnie stosowane angielskie terminy).

Na pierwszej stronie autorzy powinni umieścić swoje imię i nazwisko, nr ORCID, miejsce pracy wraz z adresem oraz adres e-mail, ew. w celu przyspieszenia kontaktu numer telefonu komórkowego (nieobligatoryjnie).

Przypisy bibliograficzne zapisywane są w stylu APA.

Editorial Instructions

 “Turyzm/Tourism” publishes articles containing not more than 4000 words, research notes up to 2500 words and reports and book reviews of a maximum of 1000 words. In justified cases (at the author’s request), however, larger texts may be accepted.

Articles must be submitted in Polish and English (identical versions). The text should contain captioned and properly positioned figures, tables and, possibly, photographs. Illustrations should be additionally saved in separate, original files (but not PDF). The article must include a summary/abstract, briefly stating the aim, methods and results of study (200 words max.), as well as key words (the Polish version allows commonly used English terms).

On the first page, the authors should place their full name (first and last name), ORCID number, the name of their work place, together with postal and e-mail addresses, possibly also a mobile phone number for quick contact, if necessary (optional).

Bibliographic references are written in the APA style.
